PCT Principals and Founders of the Philadelphia International Cycling Championship

David M. Chauner has been involved in the sport of cycling for over forty years as an athlete, author, broadcaster and producer of cycling events and programs, including international professional road races, velodrome programs and large scale recreational cycling events.  In 1985 he co-founded and developed the first US Professional Cycling Road Championship in Philadelphia that has now become the longest running and most prestigious international cycling classic in the United States (TD Bank Philadelphia International Cycling Championship).
In addition to being founder and principal of several cycling businesses, Chauner served as Group Director overseeing the cycling division for Octagon, one of the world's largest sports marketing agencies and has worked with dozens of major corporations and media companies that sponsor cycling.  Chauner was a founding member of the U.S. Professional Cycling Federation's Board of Directors, is a former Olympic cyclist (1968, 1972) and inductee into the U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame (1998) and Lehigh Valley Velodrome Hall of Fame (2005). He is currently Managing Partner of American Cycling Group, LLC.

Gerard F. Casale has managed staging and logistics for cycling and other large-scale special events across the country in major markets including Atlanta, Chicago, Houston, Minneapolis, New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Francisco, San Jose and Washington D.C. in addition to the multi-day stage races, The Kmart Classic of West Virginia, the Inaugural Tour De Georgia and the American Eagle Outfitters Tour of PA. Casale has been Operations Director for Philadelphia’s USPRO Championship since he co-founded the event in 1985. As a Founder and President of Special Events Suppliers, Casale was in charge of staging the road and track cycling events for the 1996 Olympic Games and Para Olympic Games in Atlanta. He has also coordinated staging, crowd control, security and communications for major public events like the presidential inauguration parade, World Series victory parades, Fourth of July celebrations, Philadelphia's Vintage Grand Prix and more. Casale was also the Chief Mechanic for several USA National Teams at the World Professional Cycling Championships.
