Overview
The Commerce Bank Lehigh Valley Classic is an all-new kick-off event for the Triple Crown Series in 2008. The June 3 event will feature three races including a short criterium race for elite amateur men and a similar race for elite women – both to be held in downtown Allentown. The international men’s professional road race of approximately 85 miles will be conducted over 12 laps of a longer circuit route through Allentown and Salisbury Township. The course will have its main staging area and start/finish line on Hamilton Street in downtown Allentown.

Course Description
The course begins and ends at 9th & Hamilton Streets. The Elite Amateur men racers will cover 30 miles on a 1-mile downtown circuit with four turns and a short “sprinter’s hill” on each lap. The challenging course was designed for fast-paced action.

The Cyclists – Elite Amateur Men
Field Limit: 120. Each Elite Amateur men’s team is limited to 6 riders, Categories 1 or 2 only, and must include at least one U23 rider. Entry is by team invitation only.
