The 2011 Junior Pro Cycling Tour (Jr PCT) is an invitational point’s race made up of up to 30
junior cyclists, ranging in age from 15 to 18 years old, scheduled to take place during the TD
Bank Philadelphia International Cycling Championship on June 5, 2011. It allows Junior
Racers to get a taste of racing at one of the nation’s largest professional cycling events.
Course:
Benjamin Franklin Parkway – 3 ½ laps between Eakins Oval and Logan Circle, using the TD
Bank Philadelphia International Cycling Championship Start/Finish area.
Total race distance: 6.5 miles
Time:
The event will take place after the finish of the women’s race and approximately on lap 6 of
the men’s event while the pros are out on the course.
Mandatory Rider Check-in: Sunday, June 5, 2011 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. behind
the race announcer area at the start / finish line
Points Race Format:
The Junior PCT is a point’s race. The points race format is to sprint every lap except the first
½ lap. Points are scored 5 deep.

All registrants will be reviewed by the Competition Committee to ensure a competitive field worthy of this event is showcased on this national stage. Registrations are limited as the course is limited to just 30 total racers. Do not delay as this sells out each year.

racers from the 15-16 and 17-18 categories to compete in the 2011 Jr PCT.
