Get ready to check out the up and comers coming to Reading! The Elite Amateur men’s race will feature up to 120 cyclists in Categories 1 or 2 only, and in an effort to support the development of youth cycling each team must include at least one U23 (under 23 years of age) rider. Entry to this race is by team invitation only. The Elite Amateur’s course begins and ends in the 300 block of Penn Street. The riders will cover 25 miles racing on an eight-corner criterium circuit through Reading’s streets. They will average almost 30 mph on a fast, downtown course.
