PRESS CONFERENCE KICKS OFF BIKE RACE WEEKEND

Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter helped welcome some of the top riders for the TD Bank Philadelphia Championship at the official press conference Friday, held at the TD Bank branch on 19th and Market in Philadelphia.
The featured riders included, Scott Zwizanski (Kelly Benefit Strategies,) Tyler Wren (Jamis-Sutter Home,) Teresa Cliff-Ryan (Colavita-Baci,) and Chad Hartley (Kenda-Gear Grinder.)
"This is the most important one-day race of the year for us," said Zwizanski. "Guys not from the area know about this race. The crowds here are amazing."
TD Bank introduced its new mascot, “TD”, a colorful character who will be at the race activities on Sunday.
Mayor Nutter encouraged the expected 300,000 plus crowds to visit the TD Bank Family Fun Zone during the race as well as the Astra Zeneca Wellness Challenge before the race start of 9:00 a.m.
