Calling all cyclists for a fabulous training or touring ride through Chester County, PA, farm land!

Pro Cycling Tour supports and encourages all riders to head out to Chester County this weekend, Sunday, September 21st for training or touring rides.  Ride routes are 25, 50 and 75 mile in length.  The event is organized by PASA, the Pennsylvania Association for Sustainable Agriculture.  PASA is a nonprofit organization working to improve the economic and social prosperity of Pennsylvania food and agriculture.  They work with farmers that grow our food, the consumers that eat the food, and those concerned with the ecological well-being of our environment and natural resources.  What better way is there to showcase the land, as Pro Cycling Tour has done for cities and states for years, than to have a bike ride.  

According to David Chauner, Pro Cycling Tour president, "We are extremely appreciative of all of the support Pennsylvania has given to our races over the years and we are encouraging all cyclists to return the favor by getting out there on Sunday to help promote the beautiful countryside that allows us to enjoy our sport." 

The event is organized in collaboration with area bike clubs, featuring 25, 50 and 75-mile routes through the beautiful landscapes of rural Chester County.

WHAT:  BIKE FRESH BIKE LOCAL!
WHEN:  Sunday, September 21, 2008, 9am to 4pm, rain or shine
WHERE:  Ride begins and ends at Victory Brewing Downingtown, PA
COST:  Advance registration of non-refundable fee of $35 includes T-shirt, road snacks and a post-ride light lunch of local foods and Victory brews.  Same day registration is also available for $40 but does not include a T-shirt.  Non-alcoholic beverage selections will be available too.  All event proceeds benefit PASA.
